I recently just did this. It was pretty enlightening. Like they were slipping in clues about the Jeremy thing as early as ep 3 and John Doe got a lot of flack when it first aired for being a monster of the week type ep but it is pretty instrumental in the scheme of things. This is the first time we see Abbie take a leap of faith (setting up her actions in the finale to seem less ooc) and being rewarded for it. Faith is revisited in vessel with Corbin reciting that bible verse "if you have faith as small as a mustard seed..." and then he was rewarded in freeing jenny. .....And with the finale we see Jeremy using their faith to manipulate them.

Given the trend here, I'm guessing Abbie will at least be rewarded with a power up or something for her sacrifice. I'm not sure I'm interested in Crane being rewarded for his actions but yeah I can see it going there.

And as for the theme of faith in general I'm just meh about it. I really hope they revisit Irving's angst about gods plan for him cause I find that infinitely more interesting and realistic.

Yeah, they did lay the seeds down for the Jeremy reveal, I agree.

It would be pretty neat to see Abbie with a power of some sort.

They really did. Like I was super surprised. Cause that arc felt so messy upon the first watch.. It still does to some extent and I think they really misjudged some things but I think I'm understanding their motivation a little better. That is super vague but I will end up ranting if I don't stop myself.

Really hoping for this. And them revealing why Abbie wasn't around in 1780 something. Just more details on the witnessing business as a whole would be greatly appreciated.

Well she already sees dead people and the bible talks about fire breathing, bringing plagues, and splitting the earth.

I like to think Abbie parallels Jeremy/Henry in some ways and I am hoping that if she gets powers they will in some way compliment his but yeah, no idea what that might look like.

That's what I'm thinking. Like they have similar backgrounds and hangups so it might be interesting to see why Jeremy wants to destroy the world and why Abbie wants to save it. And if the plot has to revolve around Crane family drama, Jeremy relating to Abbie would at least pull her in.
