Misha Collins - Board (Re)Customization

Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Chelle, or Rora a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

As far as colors go, I'd say a different shade of blue for sure but maybe mixed with purple, peach, or green?

I do like set 3 and 4 that you picked Nikole. The Blue suit in set 3 will go with whatever blue is picked!

Yeah I love the first color palette I choose because we could have blues, green, and even a light purple in the scheme.

Your first colour palate would need some softer tones added as its very bright/vibrant. Your third again would be mostly a brown board because the blues are too vibrant so would be used minimally

We don't use appearance pictures which rules out your first three sets (some are also not usable because of watermarks). The first picture in the final set is LQ so also woldn't work. It's preferable if you could post links to your favourite photoshoots that Misha has done

Of course it helps that the gallery on Misha Collins Central appears to not be working anymore

. That was the only updated fansite I know of which has his photoshoots on it

I know there's Comic Con portraits from last year which have him, Jared, & Jensen (both ones together & solo ones for all of them) but I don't know how to find them. I know they're on Getty Images but I don't think you can get them off there... I found this one & this one but that's it. The last picture from set 4 Nikole posted is also from there so that's a 3rd picture

If someone is bored/has the time they could go through here & see if there's any in there. But there's over 100 pictures in that slideshow/gallery

ETA: Some of the group shots can be found here - #1, #2. There's also a 2018 one here but that's just one picture. Not sure if there's been more from this year?

Not the best quality picture but there's this solo one too from 2017's Comic Con Portraits (I figured out how to get it off Getty Images

Depending on if you like the pictures from 2017 Comic Con Portraits we should have enough pictures between the solo & group shots to make something

. Unless you know of a better photoshoot?

But if Misha can be cropped out of the group pics, than I love either one you suggested!

As far as color schemes, would these work better? Well we want blue, I think something else mixed with blue would be fun, because we find our current colors not as fun.

Any of those would be fine, particularly the first. You could also combine colour schemes together & take some of the vibrant colours from your original suggestions to mix with the softer tones from the new suggestions

Would mix of colors would you say would work best that I suggested? As long as we have some blues, and than a mix of maybe another color or two, than I'd be happy. We just stuck with completely blue the first time around, so throwing in another color of two would be fun.

Whatever colour mix you wanted

. I'd say that Nature Blues would work well with Feathered Hues to give a blue with purple/brownish shades colour scheme. Then Color Flora would work with the blues from Mental Vacation (& the brown shades would still work too so you'd have three colours then). Color Flora would also work with Cacti Color if you wanted blue & green with peach. Those are just suggestions, other combinations could work too. Up to you what sort of colour scheme you'd want to see here

Those pictures are usable but do you know how old they are? Are there other pictures available from the photoshoots they're from (preferably where he's in the same outfit)? We aim to use pictures from the one photoshoot, not random pictures from different ones. It is also preferable to have recent pictures too which is why I was looking at 2017 but the Comic Con ones I suggested are the only one I know from then.

I'm fine with either of the photoshoots he did with Jared and Jensen that you suggested. Those are very recent, so I like that they are new. So if you can crop him out, then those are probably the best. Misha doesn't do solo photoshoots often at all, mainly group ones.

I'm finally with any color scheme you suggested, but I'd love input for my co-mod and other posters too. I think as long as we have some blue, everyone will be happy. I really love the first two sets you just recommended merges.
