1x01 The Mortal Cup
Clary Fray is thrown into the world of demon hunting after her mother is kidnapped, and must rely on the mysterious Jace and his fellow Shadowhunters Isabelle and Alec to navigate this new dark world. With her best friend Simon in tow, Clary must now live among faries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves to find answers that could help her find her mother.

The only competition I'm worried about is Teen Wolf. I hate that they moved it to Tuesday nights and at the same time as Shadowhunters.

I think a lot of the people that watch both figured they'd prefer to watch SH as it would mean more. TW already has had five (?) seasons and lots of people are so frustrated by it.

both TW and SH are usa Cable based shows....right? I'm not sure how ratings work there

Yes they are. My only concern is that Teen Wolf is only airing once tonight, and getting the episodes are difficult at times. Shadowhunters will air 3 times on the freeform scheduling.

As far as ratings go, I don't have a clue.
