I finished it I really liked it. Even though there are some changes, I thought the changes were good especially with Luke. It seems the Shadowhunters are more high tec in the show than the book/movie. Plus, there seems to be a lot more Shadowhunters in the Institute.

I think Simon is going to one of my favourites on the show. I'm loving his lines

EDIT: OMG I just googled reviews and pilot episode got slammed? I haven't read posts in here because of spoilers, but was it that bad? IGN said that there was no chemistry and poor acting and only die hard cassandra fans will be warped into liking it... This frightens me. I also see that episode 2 leaked? Was this because episode 1 didn't do well and they wanted to prove that episode 2 is much better?

the best part about all of this: it's dragged out so we can enjoy it... the movie was one-and-done less than 2 hours...

we are gonna get over 4 hours...hoping 8 hours coverage of the first book

So I did love the 2nd episode alot better than the pliot only because there wasnt so much jumping around and trying to fit everything in..

But so far so good..

Episode two did not get leaked. It was released via the Freeform App. I think this was mostly because of 85% of the pilot was already released via promos etc so they wanted to give something new.

The second episode is way better than the first, and I completely understand the critic out there but we already knew that would happen. We've been saying forever now that the acting would get better and you can never judge a show on its pilot .

I just finished watching The Pilot episode!! I liked it, still will get used to seeing these actors portray these characters compared to the other ones from the movie, but they are doing a good job so far can't wait to see episode 2 next week since I can't get the Freeform app since I live in Canada.. that's not fair

So many moments I rolled my eyes, mostly at Kat's acting... but getting over that

I loved both episodes, especially the depth they went into. Valentine is portrayed perfectly, I expected nothing less from Alan. Alec is by far the best of all the characters. Izzy was gorgeous. Simon was brilliant. Jace... did my head in. Walking with his arms way out, like he's got so much muscle... he looked so stiff.

I liked Dot, she got more than the film and I like the fact they made her young. The same for Hodge, because lets all admit it, he's hot.

Rebel Hearts

I liked the pilot episode. The second episode was way better though. All the Simon/Izzy interactions were so great. Kat and Dom as Jace/Clary have good chemistry already which is good. I actually like Dot's character. She's a good addition. For me the boys did the best with their characters. Alec and Simon especially. Tbh I didn't like how Emeraude delivered some of her lines but I'm not going to criticize her a lot for it bc she doesn't have a lot of acting experience. I also had some issues with Kat's acting in some parts as well but I'm sure she'll get better in time. It's still very early in the season.
