That alone just shows how relevant the bethyl relationship is to the show! With out this I think they lose a big part of the fan base that definitely wants Daryl in A relationship I'm biased towards Beth of course but I really think the whole bethyl explosion scared GIMPLE! Lol he knows a Daryl + (anybody BUT carol) will start to overshadow the show.....and its scares the pants off him and he knows it lol!

Everyone wants Daryl in a relationship, and yeah the majority wanted Beth and Daryl and still do. We know Norman and Emily wanted this pairing to go full on romantic and Greg saw it as Daryl falling in love in S4. I do find it ironic rumors are going around that "Alice" is going to be for him when she's basically Beth, only older. She seems to have the same personality as Beth did. I just don't think Daryl is going to go into anything nor do I think the show is going to let that happen. They have 2 chances now with 2 different woman and chose not to go down that route. It'll be dangled infront of the viewers forever.

So Cin wrote an article and they are a legit site and when a hater said something about Beth they replied best thing ever.
