I started watching this. The pilot was okay, not my favorite. It wasn't that exciting but it was alright. Better than the movies imo. I like who they cast for Lissa and for Demitri, but I dont see much chemistry with her and Christian. Christian to me just seems too old for the role? Rose, I'm a bit iffy on too, but shes okay. I do think D/R have some good chemistry. I dont even much of what happened in ep 1 lol.

Episode 2 didn't really pick up for me that much. Lissa trying to figure out what her specialty is wasn't that interesting to me. It does feel like they are dragging stoylines out. The show needs more action. I think Christian and Lissa happened way too fast for my taste but their chemistry was better in this ep. The best part was the ending when we got to see the Strigoi lol.

I hope you enjoy the show or at least find the episodes get better Alexa . I do agree that the show is better than the movies. I think they can explore things better, but it was hard for me to wrap my head around the changes they were making from the book. Some things disappointed me but I could understand. Plus not everything translates directly. It still was better than changes they made for the movie.

I think some episodes were better when it came to action within the episodes. Then unfortunately they did push/jump into those relationships quickly. But the chemistry does get better.

For me I prefer the movie casting for Rose but she did grow on me
