I take it Saul keeps his job after Carrie "deflects"? I'm assuming he went to therapy in that 2 years because he badly needed it.

Yeah Saul covered it up. From the looks of it, it's just the two of them who knows about it. I wonder what Saul tells the others where he gets his intelligence from?

And that's another thing. We get some missing moments because we did a flash forward to 2 years.

Cause I feel like Saul might be accountable for what happened to Max & Carrie. If he kept his job, that means he wasn't found negligent of Max and Carrie "joining" the Russians will protect Saul. At least the Presidents deaths was not because they were killed on purpose but because it was an accident. If they were killed on purpose, there would be war and I also don't want the show to deal with war (or watch a war especially these days).

They're the only two that will really trust each other. And that's why I wonder what exactly Saul tells the CIA as to how he gets his Russian intelligence. Does he just say he has someone on the inside but won't give the name of his asset to protect the identity?
