Hi All!

I'm a little late here; I had to take a day or so to really digest the finale. I absolutely loved it. I was trying to find time to log on here to share all my thoughts, and then realized that doing so would make for an entirely inappropriately long post - so, not to be obnoxious, but I joined tumblr. It's something I've been thinking about for a while, and reading others' posts here and on other pages has made me want to really be able to share my own thoughts and ideas. So, yeah, I made a tumblr (is that even the right verb?). You can find it here:

There's a 2000+ word post there already, and I have more I want to write.

The Cliffnotes version: I thought the scene in the mansion was great when I first saw it. After the twist was revealed I was a little let down, but the scene on the beach lifted me back up. And watching the mansion scene again, knowing its full context, I think it becomes even more beautiful. I think we watch Oliver realize his feelings as he's saying those supposedly fake words. I think the "I love you" was a slip. I think Felicity knew the plan all along, but the "I love you" caught her by surprise.

Denial. It's not just a river in Egypt. It's also a beach on Lian Yu.

Love what they both said about the olicity "I love you" scene! I always understand more out of a scene when the actors in it describe what they think it meant.
