Bell tried to sue and then the Western Union guy died so they settled.

And then once Bell got the cable towers up and running, etc. the patent guy they bribed confessed everything to the media. So now the DOJ was going after Bell.

They took it all the way to the Supreme Court who sided with Bell.

A few weeks later, Grey died.

At the age of 67 Bell made the first coast to coast phone call. Watson's on the other end.

A 100 years ago movies were still silent and very few people had a radio. They were expensive and most people just thought of them as a way to send messages. We've come a very long way in those 100 years!
