He was trying so hard to stay disconnected and it didn't work. I love it that a lot of things that happen to Oliver (like going after Helena, or not wanting to be an island), are started by Felicity in one way or another.

Watching the early Arrow episodes. Everyone was such a jerk to Ollie especially Laurel.

Well as you can see from the flashbacks or how everyone including him talks about the old Oliver, he wasn't the best person... with Laurel, from what we hear. He cheated on her with her sister and Sara died just cause she left with him....

I just think Felicity is good for him, he need something new, different and refreshing in his life to go with his change.

With the whole Laurel thing I don't know how she can move past that or how their relationship can have that certain trust again. Too much has happened and they both deserve a fresh start. Enters Felicity

He definitely deserves a fresh start - away from who he was, from the stupid and bad things he's done. He came back form the island as a different person, he matured a lot, so he should lead his life as a new, matured person instead of hanging on to his past.
