Judging from the trailers, I get the impression that Cate Blanchett is doing Hela all wrong, all camp sneering. Hela needs to be done more seriously and more menacingly, with less of the playful sexual flourish. But then I rarely like Cate Blanchett's work anyway. I think she's terribly overrated. When I heard she was playing Hela I groaned. I'm looking forward to this film, but not to Cate Blanchett's Hela or Jeff Goldman looking like an idiot as the Grandmaster.
