Looks like Sony will be bringing some female Spiderverse characters in. Not sure if it will tie into the MCU or not yet.

They haven't yet said if it will be animated or not. The term "Spiderverse" is just an umbrella term used for anyone that belongs in the Spider-Man world, not necessarily just the animated movie.
