Updated personal top ten superheroes in the comic books (all from Marvel):
Wolverine, Hercules, Thor, Kitty Pryde, Storm, Magneto, Hulk (despite very mixed feelings), Silver Surfer, Namor, Thing

Top favorite MCU characters: Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Punisher, Thor, Black Widow

I'm not sure of my top X-Men movie characters, but it'd include Wolverine, Deadpool, McAvoy's Xavier and maybe Stewart's as well, Storm (either version -my opinion of Halle Berry's version has gone up up with my view of Berry herself) and probably Fassbender's Magneto (though he loses points for not being a Jewish actor, considering the character is Jewish). Precise order uncertain.

I don't know why I like Namor the Sub-Mariner so much. I mean, he's an eejit with pointy ears and ankle wings, wearing only bathing trunks. And on top of that he cops an attitude. But he just works as a character. And I particularly like characters who aren't ordinary modern people. He's an undersea monarch. Not even technically fully human. Fits on a list with 2 mythological gods (Thor and Hercules), an alien (Silver Surfer), 2 monsters (Hulk and Thing) and four mutants (Wolverine, Shadowcat, Storm and Magneto).

The list of MCU characters is quite different, being dependent on the actors and what characters appear in the MCU. I just love Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Jon Bernthal is incredible as the Punisher. Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson really make the most of the characters they've been given.

Bernthal is amazing as Punisher.

My MCU faves at the moment are probably Punisher, Thor, Winter Soldier, Nebula, Star-Lord, and Scott Lang. Really enjoying Cloak & Dagger too.

Cloak looks too much like a kid. That's not how he looks in the comics. In the comics, the process that gave him his powers also caused him to mature physically. He's supposed to be physically imposing.

The show uses elements of both the Ultimate and 616 versions.

That sounds pretty bad.

It's better than expected. They keep some of the better ideas and leave some of the worse. Liking it more than Runaways, and despite being aimed at a similar demographic it's more similar to the Netflix shows.
