Actually he doesn't jump to the furniture...he loves only the sofa
 ...When I am at home I can control him...but I don't know what he does when I am not__________________

Yes, Cats. One stays outside all the time, it's a stray but I feed it. Another is my son's and he stays in the basement all the time.
My cat, Birdie, has a cat door to go in and out if he wants but he mostly stays upstairs with me. __________________

Yes, whenever I've adopted cats or dogs, I've made sure they're spayed/neutered. I don't know about Greece, but here there are far too many unwanted cats and dogs euthanized every day.
I don't want to be responsible for that happening to any animal.  eta: look at this ..   __________________

Same here! There are a lot of unwanted cats and dogs (esp. cats) that they're looking for a warm house. There're still people who are against of animals to be neutered but without thinking that they're responsible for all the situation. Doctor said that in a couple of months, Paris has to be neutered and I'll do it! These days he's very naughty! __________________

It's a cats nature to explore and want to get as high as they can, especially as they get older. They instinctively seek the safest places to rest.
But, he's probably bored, too, and looking for amusement.  __________________
