A fanfiction section has been added to the "Rawley Revisited" YA fansite.

It's largely a set of links to Young Americans fanfiction, including what I posted on this thread in June 2014 about YA fanfiction sites now accessible only on The Internet Archive (Archive.org), plus a brief description of the larger "sequel" works of YA fanfiction, and a reflection on changes brought about by the availability of YA on YouTube since 2006.

It concludes: "Anyone who has written fanfiction works now accessible only on Archive.org might consider re-posting some of them either on Ao3 or on Fanfiction.net."

I've also given up on adding a section on literary and drama allusions in YA comparable to the music section of "Rawley Revisited." What's wanted, I think, are accurate, critically annotated transcripts.

I think you need to remember that most people that posted the fics in the early days of 2000-2004 aren't part of YA fandom or any fandom anymore. They've moved on, and frankly I don't think they care if their fic is still accessible or not. I know I wouldn't

Okay, so, I know this is going to sound crazy, but would anyone be interested in me finishing up New Beginnings? I think I’m just a few episodes away. I’m in the process of re-reading everything now to get re-acquainted with my old friends. And by my calculations, 2018 would be 15 year high school reunion time. So, I was thinking, finish NB and then a special reunion episode set in modern time. All in 2018. What do you think? Any readers still around? And, honestly, if not... I think I’ll do it for myself anyway. But if you are... heads up... now would be an awesome time for a re-read

Welcome back here Funnily enough, I have literally had your website open in a tab for months because I've been meaning to reread and also re-save all the episodes because I kept thinking "omg what if she ever deletes the site ". So thanks for reading my mind, kind of.

Anja! Of course, I remember. I was thinking of that, too, when I saw your name as the board mod. I’m so glad this place is still around (and YOU with it). As this idea of mine progresses, I’ll be back to post. For example, at the moment, I literally don’t know how to edit the site anymore as a new company took over Geocities a few years back. But I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Currently, in my own re-reading, I am at the Inboxes between Spring Semester and Junior Year. Looking back, I can’t believe I even figured out how to do that. Also, I didn’t even realize... there is a link in each Inbox that says Old Mail... which has even more messages. I almost missed that. So part of me wants to pause re-reading and clean that up. But part of me wants to press on so I can get these characters back in my head. I also have seen an obscene amount of typos that make me cringe. How did no one tell me?

But anyway, good to touch base. Thanks to Anja and anyone else who might eventually give the old eps a re-read and the new eps a read some day (hopefully) soon. I’m very excited to work on this project again. Definitely feels like home.

Me! I was just (during a recent few weeks of Kate-related nostalgia) trying to look back on the two epic continuations of YA and wondering if we'd ever see them play out to completion. I would definitely love to see this conclusion and that reunion special!
