I don't actually think it's cool either. That DiCaprio has been chasing it so hard makes it funny, but he's been deserving now a couple of times and the Academy have just ignored him. He's not once been a real runner.
I'm reminded of Tom Cruise a few years back. Perhaps America's quintessential modern movie star, and he hasn't been honored with it's most prestigious acting award. Times gonna' come when the Academy regrets that... __________________

I don't think Tom Cruise has done anything for a Oscar type movie. What like Magnolia or Eyes Wide Shut?
that's no diss against him. I've liked him in the movies I've seen him in. I liked Leo in WOWS too. __________________

I think the success of Rogue Nation has really given Tom Cruise a career resurgence. He's definitely more popular and well liked at the moment than he has been for a while. Depending on the movies he chooses in the future, he could still get his Oscar. He tends to favor critically acclaimed action movies nowadays though as opposed to biopics and dramas.
