No, Lindsay you misunderstood me.
She uses the same North accent in Downton abbey and Game of thrones but it's really different of her real accent. Hope I explain it better. |

Really? Because the two accents are different.
To be honest I'm pretty bad with English accent I just can recognize when the accents sound very different like from different regions. And it's the case with Rose IMO. |

I'm bad with European accents. Sometimes I can tell the difference with Scottish, English & Irish and then there are time where I couldn't tell, as is the case with Rose. I had to Google (back in S1) to know that she's Scottish.

I'm bad with accents in general (I only can recognize the different French accents!
 ) but Rose really makes a difference when she talks.So I was surprised too when I saw she's Scottish and not from the North. |

Do you have different variations with French? I'm just curious (and I know this is OT) because I know Chinese has variations and my mother tongue Filipino also has variations.

Yes in France like everywhere I guess we have different accents with the region where you live.
In the North there are the "ch'ti" accent (maybe you know the movie) who's very different of the "midi" accent, the South accent. And the South accents are differents if you are from the west south or not. Also there are accent who tends to German in the Alsace-Lorraine. So yes we have many accents!
