I'm not sure that Sybil will be over her father not wanting to be at her wedding that easily. It is a huge deal for a father to willfully not want to be at a daughter's wedding. I almost had that happen at my own wedding and I still harbour some resentment now years later. Not to mention, this is good for angst and drama.
