Yes, they looked more alike in the pilot by hairstyle, using mostly attitude to distinguish between them. Even after they switched clothes, the self assured mannerisms of Sutton distinguished her from Emma, who was so tentative and frightened. Now they make a much bigger point of Sutton's different hair and wilder fashion, along with the psycho expressions of Sutton and the perpetual frown Emma is wearing. I think it might be better for them to use fewer visual clues, and leave the audience to be as confused as Ethan and Thayer must be dealing with the twins.

I think the way it is now is good!

Because there are twins in the show, we have to have a lot more threads than usual for a TV show.

Usually, there would just be one character/actor appreciation thread and that's it. This show is unique, because I think it's important to have a thread for Sutton, Emma, Alex, and the twins!

It might seem like a lot, but I think it's working OK!

No it's not their only hug, but the other one I'm thinking of, Sutton was making faces behind Emma's back! So it wasn't legit. It was when Sutton first came back and snuck into the house to take a bath and beauty day, and Emma got home from school to find Sutton being nasty with Kristen...

Sutton just needs to get over Ethan, I mean that is this main problem Sutton is simply mad that Ethan chose Emma over her, Sutton will never accept anyone choosing Emma over her... her ego will burn too much because of that.

I think it was then? I need to rewatch too! Emma was upset and Sutton was telling her she wanted her to stay and be her sister, once the danger was past she would tell the parents about Emma. But it was all just to keep Emma there pretending to be her. I remember the towel wrapped around Suttons hair from her bath.

Sutton has always been self-centered and mean. I don't see why she would change, but she does need to get over Ethan. Maybe she could attack him in some other way than messing him up with Emma, but that is the thing he cares most about, so...

I still hold out hope that Rebecca, as the mother of BOTH twins, will somehow protect Emma from Sutton, and help Emma repair her relationship with Ethan. Rebecca was so sympathetic with Emma (knowing it was Emma, we now know) when Ethan was in jail. Rebecca seemed to really understand that he meant everything to Emma.

I don't think Rebecca would hurt Sutton, but maybe do what she thinks is really better for Sutton. Do you remember what Rebecca said to Emma when they were going to Ethan's arraignment? I can't remember exactly, but I felt like it was significant, describing Rebecca's position on getting what you want, or reflectiosn on past mistakes. In deviousness Rebecca is more like Sutton then Emma, but maybe in this case, she wants to help Sutton avoid a huge mistake that could ruin her life? ie the crazy obsession over Ethan. Do you think it reflects her own behavior with Ted?
