Those sheer fabrics are just "in" right now. I think it's cute. I have a couple of sheer/lace tops that I usually wear over a tank top. But I like the way Alex looks. Just the shoulders of the jacket look a bit stiff. Retro shoulder pads from the 80's?

Yeah, it does seem to be in right now to wear sheer tops with bandeau tops or bras underneath that are supposed to be seen.

It's not just the pattern, but the pattern and the cut and the shirring all put together make her look like she is wrapped in a sheet. She is a beautiful girl with a wonderful figure, but you can't see it at all in that dress. The pattern and cut work against every curve Alice has IMO. Similarly Laurel's rather baggy gown has no cling, no shape.
Mads gown could be cute at least the hemline part, but maybe it is just the stance she is taking? Still a dress should look good no matter how you are standing. I think the shirring goes too far down over her hips, the hemline drops too quickly in the front, and the shoulder strap is too wide. __________________
