Yes, I could see Kristin refusing to speak to Ted after Alec's accident. But Laurel has all kinds of character strength and would tell her mother the truth if she thought it necessary, even if Emma didn't want her to. She wouldn't risk losing Emma.

Yes, we already saw how determined Laurel was to reconcile Emma and Sutton. And Laurel was almost immediately ready to forgive Emma for the twin deception, and protect her from Sutton, even though she did love Sutton, she also knew her, and how vindictive she could be!

There were a lot of great hugs between Emma and Laurel. I like the one when Ethan was accused of murdering Derek, and Laurel was comforting Emma.

the scene where Emma was going to leave on her birthday, and went around saying goodbye to everyone... When she almost lost it with Laurel, Laurel picked up on it right away, and knew something was wrong.
