I'm not a twin, but I have two sisters, and I can tell you that we all have much different personalities, which I think developed from growing up together. Some of it is individual, but having to deal with each other brings in the learned behaviors and responses that polarize the personalities even more. The environments of Sutton and Emma were pretty much opposites too.

I think that's why they have such opposite personalities, because they grew up in such opposite environments.

I think there is an element of self-determination as well. Had they been switched at birth, I think Sutton would have ended up a real trouble maker, Street smart and just as vindictive and sarcastic as now. Probably turning to a life of crime, as she did without the need. And Emma might have turned out just as sweet as Laurel. Had they grown up together, I have no doubt that Sutton would have been the instigator, and Emma the peacemaker.

Yes, well I hope with time the honeymoon of having a family will end, and her usual strength of character and good sense will take over. I still talk as if she is a real person
