Completely agree. I love how natural it is.

I do think they work best as friends. Hopefully it stays that way. No need for any exploration for these two, even though I think the moment has past.

They'll always be besties.

Do you think there was any meaning behind the fact that she was ignoring Emmett at their lunch in the last episode? I mean, she could have confided in him. Daphne has sort of blown off Emmett ever since she turned to him for advice about Chef Jeff.

She shut Emmett out when she got mugged. She shut Emmett out with the Travis relationship. She shut Emmett out with the Noah attraction. They had a moment together before the uprising. But they have not been that close since then. I know she's met Emmett for lunch twice this summer, and that is something. But she keeps shutting him out. Emmett tried to be there for Daphne at Jace's picnic.

I feel like Emmett could really benefit from Daphne's friendship right now, and she seems so absorbed in herself. I hope they give these two friends a special moment before the end of the season.

I don't know. I didn't like how she was just like ignoring him. Come on, Daphne. He's your BFF. Talk to him.

It is odd now that you point out that when it comes to big points in her life, she hasn't confided in Emmett. Why is that? It's not about Bay anymore since Emmett isn't with Bay. Why isn't she turning to him more?

Agree that Emmett could benefit from Daphne's friendship and she could benefit from his. Maybe she could have saved herself the trouble. I hope they have a special moment before the end of the season as well.

yeah it's been weird that she keeps shutting him out when he tries to get her to open up.

especially since she seemed king of hurt that he wouldn't confide in her about what happened with simone.

That part annoyed me a bit when she was all "You didn't even want to tell me." I was like, Daphne, he didn't even want to tell his girlfriend. Why would he want to tell you? I understand where she was coming from sort of, but it almost made it sound like she was making it about her in a way.

Well, Daphne and Emmett didn't get their special "friendship" moment in the season finale. Daphne did get a moment like that with Ty, though.

I wonder where Emmett and Daphne's friendship will go in Season 3. In the Season 2 finale, I kept thinking, "How Emmett will find out about Daphne's entry on the Kansas City Squealer."

It's obvious that Emmett has not confided any of his heartbreak over Bay to Daphne. She probably knows, because she knows him well. But Emmett has not been baring his soul about it. He didn't ask her for help interpreting his toast. He didn't share information about his chlamydia scare with her.

And she hasn't shared anything about Jace with him.

Their friendship has definitely changed since Season 1A. I am sure they are still friends and always will be. But don't you all think it has changed?

If Emmett reconnects with Bay in Season 3, do you think that will pull him and Daphne closer? Or will it keep them where they are now?

I definitely think things have changed between them, but it's also natural. Pre-switch, Daphne and Emmett as friends were pretty exclusive. Post-switch, it has broadened their worlds and so they may not open up to each other with every new experience or mistake they make.

They will definitely always be friends and I can see them confronting this in S3 actually.

I don't know how a possible B/E reunion will affect Daphne and Emmett. I guess we shall see.

Oh, I hope they do confront this in S3. They've drifted. Still close and always will be, but I would like for them to be closer. I miss them leaning on each other!

I think they will. The end of high school always forces you to reevaluate your life and friendships and what you're willing to put forth as far as effort.

High school and even college breeds friendships in a way and makes them easier to have. But what about when you're out of those hallways and you don't have the luxury of seeing these people eight times a day or in the halls? What do you do when your life gets busy?

Will you make time? Will you bail? All very good questions.

I could definitely see a scene where Daphne and Emmett confront each other about feeling like the other bailed on their friendship or shut them out.

i can't imagine the show not having emmett/daphne being friends again. but i wonder how and when they will repair that friendship. i hope we are not just to assume after 4x06 that things are okay between them again. after 4a they need to actually show it.

I don't want Daphne and Emmett to ever be friends again. After what Daphne did, I would rather their friendship end for good. Sometimes that happens in life.

Their friendship had already drifted apart before Daphne's betrayal. Emmett lives far away, now, and should continue to do so for a long time. I'd rather they never repair their rift.

I am glad Daphne shared her perspective on what happened to Bay with Emmett, though. Perhaps that allowed Daphne and Emmett to break through some of the ice between them, so they can be civil to each other in the future. I just really don't ever want to see them share any kind of friendship again.

If they do become friends again, I agree that the writers need to show it. I am beyond tired of having to assume the important stuff.

I'm torn about Daphne/Emmett. For selfish reasons, I don't necessarily want them to be friends again, but from a show standpoint, I like things going full circle.

I think they'll never be as good of friends as they were and that's mostly due to growing up and expanding their social circle.
