OK, finished my story Silence of Cries Unheard. In this, Astrid/Nova is Maleficent's daughter (I made that choice before Lily turned out to be Mal's child). Stefan's Astrid's father. The Sleeping Beauty family ends up with an uncertain sense of wary bonding. But, I like them.

I was reading on the Disney Wiki about Maleficent. There was a brief entry on her in Once.

Beg to differ. She's not sadistic and cruel. Ruthless and, at times, vengeful, sure, but she doesn't seem to enjoy cruelty for cruelty's sake. I'd also argue the "only" two things she cares about. She became quite upset when Ursula attacked her staff.

Also (although this was about the cartoon) she's a boss who throws a party even for her incompetent henchmen once the goal has finally been achieved, no thanks to them.

About the cartoon, I did think she was very cruel, the scenes with her "minions" were the more cruel ones to me.

IT's all about Malificent Dove Cameron said that to advertise her role in Disneys Descendants. She plays her daughter Mal lol.

I do need to watch the movie.
