Yup, and i dont get why some people try to project more into it then it was.
It again showed that neal and emma were never meant to be what show sees as True Love.

What i dont get is why they didnt made it a neal/henry scene...that was needed.
Emma and neal said their goodbye to each other when he died, why couldnt they make it about henry and his father?

Either way, its a Forgetable scene that has no deep meaning or anything in the end.
Neal is dead and moved on.

It is also no surprise that the whole splitting heart thing wont work like Emma seems to think.
We didnt need neal to point this out...even casual viewer can see that.
I might sound a bit bitter, but thats because the show wants to paint neal as someone who never was.

Eh, lets move on.

Im wondering where Killian is and what happens to him.
I hope we get a scene where we see how he reacts when he finds out that they all came to save him.

I binged watched this show in December and this was first ep saw live anyways love them and the fact that she's literally going to hell and back to get him

She was still choosing Hook. To go for him, to save him, to share her heart... all she knew was Neal was also in the UW lol

about the Neal scene. I just can't get my head around that he moved on to a better place, where he is happy but he never got to say goodbye to his son.
and like you said Emma had a closure with him in S3, this was another closure in a way and a REVELATION ( I freaking love that sign

) that Neal and Emma was never True Love.

I made a post in Tumblr and to my surprise it went viral

he gave up on Emma (apart all the damage/trauma he caused her) while Killian didnt give up on her in S2, coming back to help her to go to Neverland, didnt give up on her in S3 even when a former lover was in town, the father of her son, didnt give up on her after going back to the Enchanted forest, he gave up his ship for her, to get her back with her family. S4 was like their honeymoon getting to know each other, and then in S5 never gave up on her when she became the Dark One and that IS TRUE LOVE
He's part of the family, he doesnt give up in the people he loves.
