I think part of what made 1x18 such a memorable episode is that it was just fantastic on every level and the Storybrooke scenes were just as amazing as the Enchanted Forest flashbacks. There was literally nothing about it that I didn't like.

I liked fairytale land best, but present day was very good in the scenes of grown up Snow and Regina.

Ginny and Lana knocked it out of the park in that ep, the prison scenes between them were mindblowingly awesome. And I did enjoy the Regina and Emma confrontation and the bit about the missing shovel, too.

The DVD set definitely would have been even more awesome if they'd added extended episodes. Especially since the writers keep mentioning that they have to cut a lot for some eps and we know all of that material is out there, but then we only ever get something like 7 deleted scenes on the DVDs. It's the same for all TV shows, but still frustrating. It would be interesting to see the script for 1x18, too.

I believe there's a Snow and Emma scene that they cut from 1x18, but nothing relevant to Regina and Daniel. I think all of the deleted scenes were Storybrooke scenes, actually. I guess if they cut Enchanted Forest stuff it usually happens before they do most of the CGI work and therefore they don't really see the point of giving us cut scenes that are just the actors moving around a green screen fishbowl.
 In this case they did film a lot on location, though, so it would have been interesting to know if there were any scenes at the stables or somewhere else outside that didn't make the final cut.__________________
