UGH! Tonight's episode really toasted my biscuits! First, Snow White breaks promise number two to keep her mouth shut when she tells Gepetto and Emma about August! Did the woman not learn the first time?! And despite the fact that August DIED, everything turns out alright for Snow White. Seriously, if all it takes to raise the dead is for a person to die commiting an act that is selfless, brave, and true, why didn't Daniel get his second chance? Didn't he try to protect Regina and loose his life trying to salvage her relationship with her mother? You can't get more selfless, brave, or true than that!

Lol, well, I guess the one thing not going for Daniel when he died is that his natural state wasn't made from 'wood.' Had that been the case, I guess BF could have restored life to him too. :shrug:

I've given up trying to follow the 'rules' on this show since canon breaks it whenever it's convenient for plot, I guess. Like for example, suddenly by the creators estimations, Regina is and always was Evil?! So much for the Evil is made, not born stance. Who knows.

But on a serious note, it's clear to me that Regina has not been written to receive a happy ending. So, poor Daniel never stood a chance. :cry:

I've decided that his answers sound so simplistic and out of tune with the show because it's twitter and you can only say so much in 140 characters. But if he really thinks like this, than I'm very disappointed because I thought this show was about more than just good vs. evil. It also doesn't bode well for Regina.

I think in August's case it's also very much debatable whether or not being turned into a 10 year old boy is really a happy ending. I'm not sure if I would want to be brought back to life like that, having no memory of the life I used to lead, the people I used to know. It's nice for Gepetto because he'll get another chance to raise the boy he had to send through the wardrobe in the Enchanted Forest, but I don't know if that's what adult August had in mind when he imagined atonement and becoming a better person again. Turning an adult man back into a child is just squicky to me and I could completely understand why Nealfire refused when Rumple offered to do the same to him a couple of episodes back.

I'm not sure I understand why the Blue Fairy could turn him back into the "real boy" Pinocchio and it's indeed not possible to save someone else in similar ways, but I suppose it's one of those things the show is not going to explain and we're just meant to believe that it comes down to the fact that August is Pinocchio, who was originally made of wood and only brought to live thanks to the Blue Fairy. But like I said, even if something like this had been an option for Daniel, I don't know if him being turned into a boy and/or losing part of his memory would have been such a great thing. It definitely still sucks that no one even tried to help him and Regina, though.

I figured he will grow older just like everyone else in Storybrooke. Being stuck in a child's body forever would be even worse, but I don't think they'll go there. I hope we'll find out for sure, though, and Pinocchio will not ever be seen in Storybrooke again like Kathryn, Sidney, Ashley, etc.
