AWWWWW a Baelfire thread! Finally!
He grew to be one of my favorite characters, especially after the latest episode. Not to mention my favorite child actor. Indeed, he is the only burning flame (beside Belle ) in his father's heart.

FINALLY! A thread for our little Baelfire! Add me to the list please.

I really love this actor and I think he did a great job as Baelfire.

P.S. Has anyone heard the theory going around that Baelfire is Henry's father? At first, I didn't believe it. But now, I'm begining to think it's true.

Tee hee, the Charmings are going to be related to Rumpel. I'm sorry but that is just too funny!

OK, things we want to know -

We don't know what age he'll be when he shows up. Depending how things worked, he could be ancient (even dead, but I'm trying not to think of that) or he could be the cute kid we saw in his two episodes. Or anywhere between.

But, if Gold's had 28 years to look for him and hasn't found him . . . WHAT'S GOING ON?

I think he may be outside of Storybrooke. That's probably why Mr. Gold has been able to find him. He's stuck in Storybrooke, so he can't just leave and find Baelfire. Sad.

I hope the next time we see Baelfire, he's still his cute little self. Or at the very least, hot as hell and is screwable 20s.

Ok, here's my theory on what happened to Baelfire, Ok, it's not my theory, I got it from another forum, but it makes sense I really want to share it with you guys!

Baelfire is Henry's father, and here's my evidence:

-Baelfire landed in our world before the curse took effect. This means that he was outside of the curse, like Emma.
-The Blue Fairy called the green vortex a "time hole." This might place the age and timeline discrepency back on track.
-Emma said that Henry's father was older than her. If Baelfire landed in our world right before the curse took effect, then he would definitely be older than her.
-Emma also said that Henry's father was a fireman. Maybe this a play on Baelfire's name. The names in Storybrooke always play on the identities of their fairytale counterparts.
-Mr. Gold: Because he spun gold back in fairytale land,
-Regina Mills: Because she is the daughter of the original millers daughter,
-Mary Margaret: This is the alias she gave Red in "Red Handed."
So, names and certain personal attributes play a big role in this show.

-It would also explain why Emma has platinum blonde hair while Henry's hair is almost black.

Didn't Emma mention that all the story about Henry's father was just a fabrication on her part? Anyway, it could be that being a fireman is the only bit of truth that Emma left out. So excited to see how Baelfire will be introduced in Storybrooke!

WOW. These are very good points. I can't get the whole "fireman" statement out of my head. And having Baelfire as Henry's father would explain the big "hair discrepency" between him and Emma.

Hey, and I just realized something (probably obvious) -

Rumpelstiltskin couldn't use the curse - as in couldn't, not wouldn't.

The curse required the heart of the thing the caster loves most. The thing Rumpelstiltskin loved most was Bae.

Except maybe till Belle came along (I know there's debate on that point).

But, the moment he loves Belle more than Bae he, by definition, would hardly be willing to sacrifice her to get to Bae.

Which completely skips the question of who Rumple would or wouldn't be willing to kill, it's just the logic chain of who he could kill to enact the curse.

I don't think it matters who Rumpel loves the most. I think the reason why he couldn't cast the curs is because evryone he loved was either missing or dead (sort of). So, he had no heart to sacrifice. And he wouldn't have killed Belle for the spell either. He sent her away twice. So, he obviously wasn't planning on hurting her.
