That's perfectly put. and I was so happy he got to tell her out on it, as harsh as it may have been in front of everybody, and then later when she asked him again. But it was so important for her to realize (at least a little) how he perceived her and her behaviour.
Then it was somehow reaffirmed in 2x03, when again Wade was the one who got to tell her to stop living in her fantasy, perfect world but instead try the real one. That just cant mean nothing.

Even in 205 she tells George that being with Wade is what she needs right now. Ok so why is Wade filling her needs and not George? So she gets her needs met so she can then move onto George? Boy that looks really good.

And yes the speech in 203 from Wade put everything out there. And then again in this past episode. I said I hadn't taken what she said as anything. But going back and rewatching (oh I won't admit how many times) she is saying that she isn't qualified to pick the person she would spend the rest of her life with. Well if she did pick it would be George. And she is saying that anything can be over come if it is meant to be. Again there isn't anything to overcome with George other than stupidity.

So if this show ended any other way I would stand by the fact that they showed us ZW. And if it does go ZG I will also stand by the fact that the writers are idiots.

I need to rewatch, too. BUt yeah,that's exactly why it stood out to me so much, even though she probably didnt realize what she was saying there..if she could have picked in season 1, she'd be with George. She could have picked George in season 2 twice now, but didnt. Again, her saying that can't not mean nothing. Why would she all of sudden say something as serious as that when being with Wade?

I sort of agree with her that she isn't qualified to pick. I think even now if she were asked between Wade and George who she'd pick as a life mate it would be George. She basically told George that in 205. So yes she isn't qualified to make that decision. And it probably does mean something. I just was trying to not over analyze everything, but today that sort of hit me when I listened to it.

I think the difference between season 1 and 2 is that in 1 she'd have jumped at that chance. In season 2 maybe subconsciously she is starting to realize that her first choice isn't the right one.

I know I've seen this quote in relation to HoD a time or two and it is so fitting.

It's really hard not to overanalyze with this show. It just happens..and again the example of 2x03, it's what we've been saying ALL ALONG put into words by Wade, of all people, so I think we're pretty good at over analyzing.

I hope so, it definitely seems like it. And that uote is perfect, I thought of it a lot in terms of Zoe. Except that I dont think she could have truly loved either one in 2x01, so I'd replaced it with Lavon's "like".

I don't think she is in love with either of them at this point. So yes like works. Unlike the ZG crap I think it takes a bit of time to actually fall in love with someone. Sure you may feel something initially but you need to know if something is really there or not.

It just is basically she has two options. If she was that into George, then Wade never would have happened. And now that she can't seem to separate herself from Wade to actually be with George that means that she can't really want George all that much beyond sappy speeches or as a back up for when she thinks things will end with Wade.

on the over-analyzing quote - I definitely tend to over-analyze! It's because I study english lit & all we do is analyze characters, relationships & plots, so I can't turn it off now
