They are leaving a lot of it up to us to interpret it as we like or fill in the gaps. Perhaps she felt the added stress of winning was it. He did tell her in 216 that he was drunk because his band sucked and he didn't win the $20000.

Yes, and she won't hear anything he has to say right now anyway. Nothing he says is going to make her feel better about it at this point. She needs time and she surely doesn't need to know who the girl was or anything about her or any details of what happened when he left the bar with her.

I agree that I don't need any more details about that night. Then I can go on with my own story in my head, but I do think that, after things calm down a bit, they need to have a more serious talk. He's never even really told her how he feels about her, even though we the audience knows it deeply. I want her to get angry, thinking she was just another notch, and for him to tell her just how wrong she is...
