Brief History: The Pennington legacy originated in the quiet, coastal town of Rockport, Massuchusetts in the early 1900s. Rockport's location on the East Coast and unexploited potential appealed to business moguls from already bustling, prosperous cities, but attempts to commercialize the town failed spectacularly as residents of Rockport, intent on preserving the purity of their town, formed a resistance movement impossible to circumvent, until one of their very own decided to capitalize on the integrity of Rockport. Roger Pennington, new owner of the family business upon his father's death, used the significant fortune his father had left him and expanded his company. Pennington Sailing, Rockport's only business of any notoriety, quickly became the town's only living and the place to purchase boats and yachts. Roger kept the town alive on a whim; he exploited Rockport's appeal, making it the perfect vacation spot while preserving its untouched vitality. Yet a new generation in Rockport was born, as the 'townies' faded into a collective, working machine and affluent visitors flaunted their vacation homes. Years went by, and there was little reason to maintain Rockport's integrity. Old 'shoppes' were torn down, to be replaced by acclaimed franchises, and the attractions were abandoned under the supervision of Roger's son, Robert. Now, there is little difference between Rockport and Main Beach of Southampton, and Reed, Roger's successor, is expected to eradicate all signs that indicate otherwise.
Personality: In a largely patriarchal family, the emergence of predominately male characteristics within Reed Pennington occured not only without surprise, but as expected. Reed's mother filled her role as the typical Pennington wife: a beautiful, young debutante with a fortune of her own, yet lacking a troubling, assertive personality. She faded into the background, regardless of her glamourous, luxurious lifestyle designed to distinguish the wealthy from the simply middle class. She had little influence in her only son's life, a regrettable, perputating event possibly changed with a simple alteration in environment. But Reed can only be a continuation of a legacy of rich, powerful men with a hidden affinity for vices of all kinds. There are few drugs Reed hasn't tried, and even fewer which he goes without using for very long. Reed has sampled all sorts of women, never growing fond of any specific girl, although his unwavering disinterest often takes a backseat for his pursuit of sexual gratification. He carelessly throws an abundance of money around without making so much as a dent in his fortune, gambling when he can and indulging himself with useless trinkets or frivolous activities. As for Reed's personality, few are unaware of its duality. The 'corrupted' side precipitates most of his actions and affects his guise as a gentleman of upstanding purity and charm. To those who matter, he couldn't be any better. To those who don't, he couldn't be more of a nightmare.
Opinion: The abrupt change in Melbourne's policy certainly ruffles a few of Reed's feathers, but on the whole, he is very optimistic. The scholarship students are a potential, completely new form of entertainment. Of course, he couldn't be more outraged in the company of his family and 'closest' friends.

Brief History: The only event more publicized and acclaimed than Sebastian Donaldson's rise to fame is his fall from it. Sebastian moved fluidly through the business world after a shrewd decision to wisely invest his inheritance from his mother's death paid off quite nicely, along with the sudden business boom in his small chain of hotels. The Donaldsons accurately defined and epitomized 'new money,' becoming the object of both envy and hate. They belonged in the affluent, social circles as much as they believed they did, making their sense of fellowship towards other rich families as fabricated as it was false. Their popularity, however, seemed to wan as others like them proved to be more interesting and glamourous, but the Donaldsons still lived comfortably in luxury. Sebastian mistakenly forgot his roots as he embraced his new lifestyle, erratically spending his self-made fortune. Gambling was a tempting vice, and no one knew that better than Sebastian Donaldson. In a scandalous yet tragic fall, Sebastian Donaldson's body was found in the alleyway behind a seedy casino, leaving his wife and daughter will absolutely nothing to live on. It wasn't long before Audrey found herself leaving her plush bedroom for a much smaller and dirtier one as part of her mother's new apartment far away from the comforting mansion she had grown used to.
Personality: As one who had sampled and grown fond of the rich and fabulous lifestyle, Audrey habitually remains just a little bit arrogant, despite the squalor she now lives in. Two years after her father's death, Audrey still furiously defends her father's name and short legacy. Gambling addiction or not, Sebastian always seemed to find the time to read Audrey a bedtime story, or take her to the zoo. Yet she competes with biased, published articles and the media's obsession with portraying nearly everyone in a bad light. The struggle has left Audrey desolately jaded, and she would like nothing more than to put her past behind her, yet she finds it impossible with the constant reminders people like to dole out. Audrey's pretentious nature nearly always makes her feel cheated out of the life she had for a precious few years and all the benefits from such a life, including an acceptance letter from Melbourne Academy. Audrey could almost see her name on the books, only to have it carelessly erased after everything went to pieces. The only reason she finds herself able to go there now is for her profiency in writing, but to Audrey, that still isn't enough. She wants to have it all, an unquestionable place at the school included.
Scholarship: Audrey seemed to accept her scholarship for writing begrudgingly and enthusiastically at the same time.

Brief History: Melissa or “Mel” as some refer to her as, she’s grown up attending private schools, and such. She once attended a public school back in Junior High School that she really enjoyed, and she was looking forward attending High School, but her dreams were crushed when her parents announced that they were sending her to St. George Boarding School. Melissa didn’t fully understand why her parents were sending to this strict school where all the students wear uniforms, but her parents must’ve had a pretty good reason for it. Melissa does come back a good background. She keeps up her grades so she can get into a good college. She wants to attend a good cooking school or maybe even become a teacher mostly because the idea seems appealing, and Melissa feels like she would be good at it. She’s always wanted to teach other students.
Personality: Melissa is a kind and caring person no matter what the circumstances are. Even if she’s having a bad day, she still tries to be nice instead of sending off a bad chain reaction to where everyone is a bitch to everyone else. Yeah, you’re probably wondering how someone can be nice even though not everyone in the world can be jerks and stuff. Well, Melissa has always been like that. She does hold a grudge against her parents for sending her off to a boarding school, and she pretends that she’s happy when they come to visit her. She’s quite the intellectual. By intellectual she doesn’t walk around campus wearing geeky glasses, or even a hair-style. Aside from being smart, she is a romantic at heart. Only when it comes to the guy that captures her heart like no other can.
Opinion/Scholarship: Thanks to Melissa’s outstanding grades she was offered an academic scholarship to Melbourne Academy. Melissa, of course was thrilled to get out of St. George, and into a semi-normal school setting
Crush: Back when she attending St. George Boarding School; cruses didn’t exist on Melissa’s radar; At least not until she stumbled upon a handsome African-American by the name of Cliff Hatley. She had to admit that she was crushing him, and she felt something so real when they were dancing on the dance floor. Cliff was pretty much Melissa’s only crush.

Name: Anthony ‘Tony’ Richardson

Brief History: Like his sister Jordan, Tony is being forced to attend Academy. Why? It’s one of the best schools in the United States, and Tony’s father wants him to get the best education and to be somebody who his father wants him to be. Unfortunately Tony doesn’t feel the same way. He would much rather attend an Ivy League College, or maybe even a State College, and major in mechanics. Tony’s desire is to work on cars while having fun talking with the guys about women. With Tony’s father standing in the way, Tony has no choice but to attend this joke of a school, and do something to impress his father, like, maybe become an attorney. Tony can’t help but feel like his sister Jordan isn’t too thrilled about being here either, but his sister puts on a good act, so it’s hard to tell how she’s feeling.
Personality: Deep down Tony feels like an outcast attending Melbourne Academy, but he covers that up with trying to fit in, and talks to the other guys even though he would much rather kill him-self, but he decided to make the best out of a bad situation. Even if it meant talking with the stuck up, brats who attended this school cause their mommies and daddies paid the way in for their children. You’d think that Tony would enjoy his experience, but deep down he feels rejected. Mostly because he doesn’t think that his father loves him for whom he is. Tony isn’t some rich kid who is spoiled. Keep down he’s a regular teenage guy who feels like he was born to the wrong family. Too bad that he can’t talk about this to anyone cause they’d think that he was crazy, so he keeps it to himself. Secretly he’s been keeping a journal so during the evening before he hits the sack, he spills his soul into this book where he keeps his most private thoughts. As corny as it sounds his journal is his only friend right now. He wouldn’t dare to talk to his sister incase she decides to squeal on him to their father.
Opinion/Scholarship: Tony doesn’t care about the scholarship students. He has no objections to them coming, but he tries to pretend that he’s against them since his buddies are rich, spoiled brats who only thinks about themselves, and not about others. Good luck trying to fit in – they’re going to need it.
Crush: None, but some would be appreciated.

buffyandspike4ever - It appears as though you've got more Scholarship Students (3) than you do Paying Students (1), and it is asked that you take an even amount of Scholarship Students and Paying Students, so you need to make of your character Scholarship Students a Paying Student. Also, please bold your profiles. If you don't know how, just ask.

~Tina_Greer~ - It appears as though you're playing three girl who (2 of them happen to be Scholarship Students and 1 of them is a Playing Student). It is asked that you take even amount of girls and guys as well an even amount of Scholarship Students, and Paying Students. So you need to take 3 guys (1 Scholarship Student, and 2 Paying Students in order to correct this). Also - please bold your profiles.

Brief History: He is a honest guy with little or no friends. His parents decided to put him in school after learning about his mental illness and loneliness. He doesn't have a lot of friends, because he prefers to read books rather then socialize or embarasse myself by trying to act normal in front of new people.
Personality: He is mostly honest, trustworthy and in some ways paranoid about meeting new friends
