Hey guys, I decided to retire from being blahblahblah. So..New thread. Feel free to join.

For years the Hastan family has kept seperated, nobody even remembers why now. It's all in history. Now, they are reunited when the oldest of the family, grandmother to the cousins, mother to the siblings, dies. She was the only glue that held the family together, but will something peculiar in the will, that to obtain any money, they first had to spend a summer in the same house, a huge mansion.

The Plot

A seperated family reunites by living in a mansion in order to recieve money from a will. What will happen, will they ever learn to love eachother, and who get's the money now? Will it be neck and neck?

Where they're from: Burbanks, Californina
Personality/History: She's strong willed, and brave. When she got pregnant in college she immediately took resbonsibility, dropped put, got a job at a restaurant, and worked her way up from there. She's always wanted to be a writer, bul life so far has proved too hard to start writing for her. Her two beloved daughters are the bright spots in all the dark. She's very close to her thirteen year old mostly, but has her moments with her seventeen year old. The day she left those college dorms was the hardest day of her life, realizing how much she was giving up for this child she was going to raise soon. But Lorraine carved a life for herself, she's independent, and proud to be. She ignored people calling her a **** and a whore, and instead became a respected manager of one of the most beautiful restauraunts in California. She thought the hardest thing she'd have to do was leave her life in college, but she was wrong, the hardest thing she ever had to do was build an entirely new life for herself and her children, with no help it all from anyone. She dreams a lot, and sometimes she thinks of what her life would be like if she hadn't had her daughters. But she immediately shakes those thoughts off. Lorraine promised herself she'd go back to college one day, and that promise still rings in her ears to this day. She has a good sense of humor and is a very, very sweet girl.
Why they pulled away from the family: Her parents and siblings did not approve at all of keeping the babies, so she fled from home, and cut of all of her family ties. She escpescially fought with Jacob, he didn't think she'd ever become anything , but she showed him. She showed everyone.
Marital status:Single, she got pregnant both times very drunk.

Personality/History: Remy was born from a single very young mother. She had to struggle along with her mother through a hard life as she tried to find a better life for them. A few years afterwards, thinking her mother knew the consequences, had to take care of her new baby sister. She feels as if she didn't have the normal childhood all of her friends had, by not only not having a father, but having a to take care of her sister while her mother worked long hours. She isn't as close to her mom as her younger sister is, so she writes. That's actually one thing she has in common with her mother. She wrote over 100 poems of her life and her family, all of them ending tragic. She's never showed her mother her writing ability, and wants to keep it a secret. Once her mother finally step foot onto the ground and found a good paying job, Remy has become a bit nicer to her, but she still has her moments...what teen doesn't? She just loves to be alone in her room, without her mother and sister bothering her, and writing...writing so much that her hands bleed. She feels by the time she's in college she could publish the poems and find a better life than she had when she was younger.
Marital status: Single, but is desperately looking for her soul-mate.

Personality/History: Ever since her dad left she has been in a deep depression and can't seem to get out of it. Her mother tells her to try and that its stupid she is always down. She's popping Lithium and Prozac but nothing seems to be working. Her mother is embarrassed by her daughter, Gabe can tell. She would move out but she has no where else to go. Her father doesn't want to hear about her problems and she knows she won't make it if she lives to far from her mother. She lives in an apartment a block away from her mother but she usually gets so bad that she has to go stay with her mother. Her therapist is trying really hard but it seems like things are getting worse.
Reason for leaving the family: Her mother just doesn't understand why she is so depressed.

Personality/History: Jeff is what you would call a "good boy". He gets good grades at school, he doesnt cause any problems, he likes to read and play the piano. Even though he has all of these good qualities, inside, he feels sad and lonely. Even though he feels lonely sometimes he prefers to be alone, he's mostly in his head and keeps to himself a lot.

Where they're from: Manhattan, New York
Personality/History: Ever since Jacob could hold a caculator, he was named the next Donald Trump. He was always the one who would do his homework, and the nerd of the family in that matter. He only thought and cared about the future, and thought of better ways to take care of his family. He then became snobbish about his things, and really didn't like how everyone flirted and played around while he stayed at home reading 'How to get Rich off you Buisness'. He thinks the only way to get through life is to throw everyone down, and go to the top by yourself; leaving who you can behind. That's really how he got rich. Once he left the family, he went off to NYU, where struggling, he studied his butt off for his diploma. He finally recieved it, and went off to persue a buisness career, and after many years he is finally on the top of the charts. Being one of the richest men in New York may make you think he would give in a bit of charity, but unfortunetly, he only cares about his money....and his kids. He married his secretary a few weeks of her being in the job and she bore him his daughter, then after his son. After that, he felt as if he never really loved her, and divorced her. He may act like the Mr. Scrooge everyone never turns to for money, and his kids would even say it, but deep down below all the love for his money, he does have a heart.
Why they pulled away from the family: He felt that he would never get anyone if he stayed in the family, so he moved on to NY to study buisness. He also fought a lot with Lorraine, knowing that she would never get anywhere in life unlike him.

Personality/History: Jack acts like he's still a teenager, he loves to have fun, and is very extroverted. He's frank in just about everything he says and does, deep down inside....VERY deep down, he still has a sensitive side to him. He does have 2 daughters and they are very much daddy's little girls but he's still the rock'n daddy. He quit school when he graduated from high school because he never really had any goals of getting a career in anything in particular. He did have an interest towards airplanes but decided to stay away from that because he's always thought that all pilots are nerds. He married at age 22 and got a divorce 5 years later. Now, he works as the head mechanic at an auto shop. He use to get along pretty well with his sister Lorraine since they are only 2 years apart, but when she got pregnant for some reason he felt a distance come between them, he never knew why, maybe it was because he never thought she'd do something like that, but so many years have passed now that he doesnt really care anymore.
Why they pulled away from the family: Jack pulled away because when Lorraine left things were different and he was sick of the life he led with his family so he moved out.

Personality/History: He got out of there as soon as he could. His parents split when he was younger and he would live with his mom on the holidays and in the summer and with his dad everytime else. Once he was a teenager he got to decide who he wanted to live with and the pressure was so much that once he was legal he was gone. Now he is in a band and trying to make it big in LA even though his dad disapproves and is trying to get him to go to college.
Why they pulled away from the family: His father is always trying to control his life when his mother is more laid back about it. He doesn't like the pressure his father puts on him so he doesn't talk to him much. The fact he came here was because his sister talked him into it.
Matrial Status: single and not looking after he saw what his family went through he doesn't want to be part of the 50% that gets divoriced.

Age: 60
Where they're From: Originally CA but went to England for some time because of his job.
Personality/History: David was always the quiet and reserved one. He always did what he was told and took care of his younger siblings. His mother, even though she had the time, she would leave David in charge of giving them food and making sure they brushed their teeth. He didnt mind it for some time since he cared about his brothers and especially his sisters, but he grew sick of it and rebelled against his mother for the way she treated him. She made him miss school sometimes to take care of them while she went out shopping. When he found out what happened to his sister Lorraine, he felt sorry for her but still found it hard to imagine that she did such a thing. He had an idea on why things got bad though. He cares deeply about his family but for him, its hard to show it. He married and had 2 kids which he also loves very much, but also has trouble showing it. He is always busy with his work and was hardly there for them, thats why his wife got a divorce. Now his sone, Doug, never listens to him and always seems angry with him. He wishes he would go to college but he has no way to change his mind.
Why they pulled away from the family: David pulled away before anything happened with Lorraine, since theres a huge age difference so he wasnt there physically when she left. He left because he wanted to study medicine and because he was tired of the situation in the house with his mother.
