He is also is Jay's son, one of Lily's fathers, and partner of five years to Cameron. He is a low-key, mild-mannered person. He has an intense fear of birds.  Jesse Tyler Ferguson (born October 22, 1975) is an American actor who portrays Mitchell Pritchett on the ABC sitcom Modern Family. Previously he played the role of Richie Velch in the CBS sitcom The Class.         Barry: As soon as I started talking about reiki, I could tell you thought I might be a little nutty. I'm king of hoping "Baby On Board" amongst the others although he had other great memorable episodes for S3 (among them, which title escapes me right now, that ep where he & Cam sung - our thread title).
