In the books there were five boys to seven girls but it's still different to what we've got here on the show

One guy (+ Jake when he comes back) and four girls?

Maybe we'll find out the circles can be larger than 6?

That would be good, then we could have more guys. Because as much as I love Adam and Jake too, I do wish there were more men on the show.

well, the book coven was larger but this is a TV show, it's hard enuff to write about 3 people let alone 6 people and their backstory and their evil/drunk/dead parents. I dont think the coven will get larger because of practicality's sake. I also think the whole "their families are linked together" thing is overstated.

Those covens were formed in an era when you couldn't move around. Maybe the elements within a witches power are more important when forming a coven....wut if a coven member doesn't have a child? the coven just dies? unlikely....somehow, i think the powers would find some1 to fulfill the destiny of said coven.....

also, i think coven's have more girls for the reason I mentioned, you only need one guy to get X amount of women pregnant

that was probably the setup for hundreds of years, always have more women than men, it keeps the lines going......

as for having more guys on the show, it's not that there aren't enuff men, it's that there arent enuff young men and it's not really neccessary: it's a show about withcraft -___- there's no werewolves or vampies killing each other (concepts that both men and women can be targeted with). Dudes aren't drawn to the whole "heat of the sun, burn like fire" thing....well, that's my opinion on the matter, I could be wrong :ponder:
