I remember seeing that interview on youtube last year but for some reason I can't find it on youtube anymore...maybe it got deleted?
But I did find this different interview with Francois, but it was to promote season 2 not S3:



at 1:18 he mentioned Cesare's relationship with Lucrezia will deepen in S2, and he seemed rather shy and giggled when the interviewer asked him "what do you mean by deeper?" it's the same reaction he had during that interview for S3 and Holly's reaction

I remember that interview he's such a dork when he said the relationship goes "deeper" which is complete BS because they did NOTHING in season 2

well technically he was right, their relationship did get deeper in S2, remember their kiss in ep 2x02? That was the first time the siblings ever kissed each other even though Cesare & Lu's relationship didn't grow significantly deeper until S3, but at least they had more scenes together in S2 than S1 and of course that first kiss they had in S2, so even if Cesare & Lu's relationship had only grown slightly deeper in S2, they were at least closer in S2 than in S1.

I think that was more of a europian relatives kiss. But he was right though. Cesare and Lucrezia's connection only deepened in season 2.

Yep, their relationship did get deeper in season 2, but they also wasted a lot of our time with Lucrezia chasing after the artist brother of that prince she was supposed to marry.

But you could tell that by the end of season 2 that they had grown a lot closer in their union against Juan, who was able to tell that something was going on between them even before anything had happened. I guess it was the opium.

Well, they did grow a bit more closer in season 2, May. They went "deeper" in season 3.

I agree with the above ^ when you get nothing and you get that you end up happy cause I'd be lying if I say I didn't literally jump up and down after that scene but all in all... I don't believe it was intended as nothing but a "thank you" kiss and mostly innocently.

I don't know if they really had more scenes in season 2 than season 1...I think episodes they share more in season 2, because there's 1 more in that season they got 10 instead of 9 and they share scenes I think in 7 out of the 10 and in season 1 they share scenes in 6 out of the 9 but I think overall they have more scenes per episode in season 1 than in season 2. I might be wrong tho.

I agree, the siblings did grow closer in S2, I think the kiss in ep 2x02 was more like a kiss of gratitude Lucrezia gave Cesare for helping her and Paolo...but a kiss is still a kiss nonetheless I do think the siblings grew closer after Juan killed Paolo and Cesare & Lu's relationship grew deeper through their mutual hate and animosity towards Juan in S2.

Well, I think that Cesare and Lucrezia did have more scenes together in season 1, May, but I think there were scenes between them in season 2 that were deeper with emotion, especially at the end when the two became an alliance against Juan, and a sanctuary from their father's machinations.

Hi, Linda! Yeah, at the beginning, before Juan's death, Cesare and Lucrezia's relationship was still mostly platonic, but you could tell by the end of season two they had grown closer and she began to realize that he was the only one she could give herself to totally and completely.

Yeah, it was an angsty, angry scene. They looked like a couple in that scene.

thanks again for the gif Arinna, that scene was so intense and so deep, Cesare & Lu had a lot of powerful and deep moments in S3 which clearly showcased the siblings strong love for each other they've always loved each other from the beginning, but their relationship became so much more intense and passionate and powerful in S3.

The thing I liked was that they made it believable. Like they've had a build up from season 1 to season 3.
