hehehe...the thing with Borgia "history" is that very few things can be established as fact. It's so hard to differentiate the scandalous rumors from actual things that happened.

Some historians who do address the "incest" issue between Cesare and LUcrezia play it safe by never stating categorically that the two were incestuous. Since there was never really hard evidence of it (say an eyewitness account). The rumors were started by Sforza after his marriage to Lucrezia was annulled on the grounds of impotence. So historians are taking into consideration that perhaps the incest rumors were nothing more but one man's spiteful actions against the Borgias. But then again, they go on to say one cannot completely dismiss it.

most historians do agree that Cesare and Lucrezia were veeeeery close and devoted to each other.

In fact, one historian even went on to state that "Cesare and Lucrezia loved each other above everyone else." Not certain if they were incestuous, but they were definitely each other's most important thing in their lives.

Either way...it still means Cesare and Lucrezia are canon! hehehe

So I'm glad the show isn't ignoring the incest rumors and in fact handling it quite well. Showing us how "ambiguous" their relationship is. Much like how their relationship in real life must have been perceived. heehee

It is awesome that they are cannon too

I agree their relationship is so ambiguous

They are more than Brother and Sister but not quite anything else at the moment!

I've written a story about the Borgias.

I mean based on the historical facts. That won my my bachelor degree. Tehheee. They were one of the most famous families in their time. Medici was the other one.
