True.
It was traditional in 15th century Italy for the children of the previous marriage to not go with the mother when she remarried. True or False? |

False. Peretto, the pope's messenger, was rumoured to have been Lucrezia's lover, but I believe Cesare used him as a scapegoat to cover up their incest & her pregnancy. Peretto & a female servant were found in the Tiber after the baby Giovanni appeared at the Vatican, and it's believed Cesare killed them. Because of many factors, it's my belief the baby was Cesare & Lucrezia's.
Cesare claimed the baby Giovanni as his child. True or False? Quote:

True. He gave Giovanni his estate, which is something you only do for an heir. I think Rodrigo also briefly claimed the child as being his son that he had with a mistress. It's all over the place with those papal bulls.
Yeah, that is sad that they could do that back then. Rodrigo had doubts that Gioffre was his son. True or False? __________________

I thought we could also talk about Borgia history, Arinna? Bianca Gonzaga was perfectly sane. True or False? __________________

Cesare Borgia was a bad leader. True or False? In that case, less people could participate. I for one, not always know the answer. __________________

Cesare loved Catarina. True or False? Quote:
Arinna, what if we said IRL or on TB show with our questions? Like "Cesare was a bad leader IRL or on TB?" The poster could say True or False IRL or True or False on TB. That way their answer would be correct if they didn't know Borgia history I agree that it's hard to know the IRL answer to some questions. I've studied the Borgias extensively, especially Cesare cause he's my favorite historical person & I'm OBSESSED with him!, but sometimes facts are obscure and require research, because published information can be contradictory. My suggestion lets posters choose which way to answer. I think it's boring if questions are based only on TB, because we've seen the show so many times that it's hard to come up with a question we don't easily know the answer to |

I agree, Lila. There aren't that many people posting on this thread anyway, and it does make the game more interesting. Sancia preferred older men while married to Gioffre. True or False? __________________

True. Gioffre was 13 years old, so thankfully Juan wasn't younger
Sadly, Cesare must have also killed Gioffre, because Rodrigo said Cesare was his only son after Juan died. True or False? Quote:

False. It was never shown what happened to Gioffre and Sancia on the show, but in real life he outlived Sancia and later remarried.
Charlotte d'Albret remarried after Cesare died. True or False? You're welcome, Lila. __________________

False. She foolishly mourned a man who only married her for an army, a title, and a male heir. Cesare spent only 3 months with her, just long enough to make sure she was pregnant. He never made any effort to see her again or even their daughter, who was over 2 years old when he died.
IRL Cesare entrusted the care and well-being of Giovanni Borgia (whom he'd already publicly claimed as his son and made his heir, as Alex has noted) to Lucrezia, essentially making her Giovanni's mother. On TB Lucrezia also took care of Giovanni. True or False? Last edited by Mignonette; 06-25-2018 at 01:56 AM |

True on the show, but false IRL?
And because it's late & I'm lazy: Cardinal Della Rovere had syphilis on the show and/or IRL. True or False? It was true that Cesare entrusted Giovanni to Lucrezia. Not suspicious at all Along with everything else CL did, it's pretty obvious the baby was theirs and they tried to cover it up. I believe they continued their sexual relationship, but were much more careful after Giovanni. |
