I'm not really sure if that happened for real or not. However, I don't think they're gonna do it in The Borgias.

Then there is Weeds, the subject of drugs alone pretty controversial never mind some of the sex in that Soo.... Im really surprised The Borgias hasnt gone further with Cesare and Lucrezia. I have watched the final episode of Season 2 a few times now... (warning spoilers ahead if you havent seen it). That scene in Lucrezia's room where she asks Cesare to marry her and Alfonso. There is that kiss at the end, followed by the dance scene a bit later. I always feel there is a piece missing there. I wonder if they shot an alternate kiss in that scene, a proper one, which would better explain all those looks in the dance. This is the kiss Im talking about I think:- Source: Beware the rose I think they shot a kiss where Cesare kisses her on the lips and its a proper one, and it would fit with the longing looks in the dance and the glares from Alfonso and Vanozza, but then decided not to show it. Just my opinion of course. And if they did, it would have been a better set up of the tension between Cesare and Alfonso Im sure we are going to see in season 3. |

I agree with you Roon. We should be seeing a lot more risque stuff on The Borgias considering that this is Showtime, especially with Cesare and Lucrezia. And this is Neil Jordan, the director of The Crying Game!

We're seeing a lot more of CL in Borgia, but there it looks a bit forced at the end. They didn't have a proper build up.

You mean how they just come together without displaying any undue affection for each other early on? Yeah, the Showtime series does do a better job of showing them having an unusually close relationship from the beginning.

..but never too close. While in Borgia, they're jumping right into the bed.

Yeah, I can't wait for that scene because I have no idea what leads up to it. Cesare and Lucrezia have hardly interacted with each other in the first season of Borgais. A Sharp contrast to the Showtime series, where they can't keep their hands off each other.

Just looked so all of a sudden for me. Lucrezia has more scenes with Juan there. Then all of a sudden she's so in love with Cesare and all that stuff... I just didn't get it.

Yeah, that did confuse me. It's almost like both shows joined together would fill in the blanks.

^^That might have solved quite a few problems.
As for Lucrezia being in love with Cesare in the Borgia finale – I don't think that was even implied at all. There were two components to it (a) she's always excited to do something that crosses the line and (b) she had to make sure that Cesare wouldn't discover Pedro in her room so she distracted him. __________________

She distracted him in a very good way. No, seriously now. I think they should work more on CL relationship in Borgia. I think that's what looked off for me there. But I'm not complaining for the finale though.

Perhaps they will. I'm just saying – I don't think anyone ever talked about (more than sisterly) love, not from Lucrezia's side anyway.

So Lucrezia distracted her brother, Cesare.......by making out with him? The Renaissance was a wild time, huh?

But she did a really good job of... distracting him.
