Poor Jamie, he's always getting slammed. There are Camelot fans who insist that if the series is renewed, Arthur should be recast. Now there Mortal Instruments fans howling for his blood, (metaphorically speaking).

I'm not thrilled with Jamie being cast but I'm going to give him a chance and see how he does before I judge

IKR? It's like he's a bad actor or something...

He totally rocked Sweeney Todd next to Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter, and he did well as evil vampire in Twilight, too, whatever you might think about the movies/books in general. And even though he was only to be seen for a short time, he TOTALLY reflected my own version of Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter, but that's just my opinion.
His role in MI will be much bigger, won't it? I think it's a wonderful chance he is being given - besides Camelot - to show his acting talent. I hope people will recognise there is more behind that face than a pretty laugh.

Yeah his role in MI is basically the main male lead and everyone's favorite character. He's not a bad actor at all, I think he's done well in all his parts, so I'll give him a chance even though he's not exactly what I envisioned as Jace. And I'm glad you think so

I dunno, I'm just not a huge fan of Bonnie

Could be due to my overwhelming dislike of Ginny Weasley though

I can fully understand your problem regarding Jace; I have envisioned Sirius Black totally differently and at first, I must admit I was kind of taken aback by Gary Oldman's portrayal. But then I grew to love him. I can't imagine anyone else playing Sirius nowadays and Gary appearing in the Harry Potter movies triggered my immense love for this man, so I guess I have to be thankful for that.

I also get your point about Bonnie; we always try so hard not to mix up actor/character, but in the end you always end up being reminded of the character if you see a certain actor's face and yeah... I can understand if that makes you not a fan of Bonnie's because I feel the same about other actors, too.

I just hope her & Jamie's relationship will last and that they will be / are truly happy together. It's just weird to think about them being engaged; Bonnie is just two months older than me

Yes despite our best efforts sometimes its hard to separate the actor from the character when we have really strong feelings about that character

And thats why I think Jamie is getting a lot of hate from Mortal Instruments fans right now because everyone is just really really attached to the character of Jace.

But Jamie and Bonnie do look happy together and thats really all that matters so I wish them well

I just can't believe they're engaged at such a young age!
