He needs to tell us what's up ... and tell us whatever it is that Ned has been hiding, especially if it concerns certain theories which includes Lyanna.

Imagine if he stayed outside as a look out while Ned went in for Lyanna and he never heard their conversation? LOL
I also wonder why this was never brought up on the show. It's something that Ned thinks about often in the books so it's pretty important. I guess we'll see. |

I tink because it might be too heavy-handed for the TV show concerning smoe mysteries. For the books it is okay because the author is hiding these hints memories beneath thousands of words/paragraphs/pages... but on the TV show, if you, for example, bring up the mystery of Jon's mother and then show those scenes... i think viewers will get the hint much quicker than in the books.
So instead, they opted on droppig little hints about Lyanna, etc., to just fuel that discussion. __________________

Now that you say that, i realize that Ned has kept this promise a secret so it's not like he could have even mentioned it to anyone on the show. So it does make sense that the writers couldn't work it in somehow.

Book readers, do you know if there are more flashbacks in the upcoming books about Robert, Rhaegar and Lyanna or... the flashbacks/memories all died with Ned and Robert?
