True, his thoughts are all over the place. He's going through a rough time in his life, trying to figure out who the hell he is and what he wants out of life away from Cersei.
I don't think he will be able to have anything with Brienne until he has closure with Cersei. I mean, when you love someone that completely, where your whole life revolves around those feelings for so long, you can't just leave it behind that easily.

)Yeah it's true, he usually thinks "I should hit her with the oar then I'll be free!" and acts by helping her politely into the boat... His mind and his heart are in conflict.I kinda feel he got his closure with Cersei when he got that letter and burned it... I feel like he cut the cord there and is just wiping up the bloody mess now. __________________

Yeah, he's bitter and angry about Cersei still... but it's been his whole life... He believed so much in that relationship, it's understandable why it's still bugging him, but I believe he's moved on from it, in that I don't think he wants or needs anything more from her. He'll probably always be angry about it, but I think he's ready for his lady
