I really like this quote a lot too because all of them have said at one point or another that they don't love each other. But they do, it's just not the traditional brotherly love. The sucky thing is, they would have all been in a better political position if they had loved each other. Or at the very least been able to work with each other.

Yes! Of course, it's not the kind of brothery love you see in most brothers, but it doesn't mean that they don't love each other. They love each other in their own way and I think that's pretty enough

I like how each family relates with each other completely differently. The Baratheons aren't at all lovey dovey, but they are still realistic. There are families like that. Each brother has an unconventional and complicated relationship with the others and they've managed to form a type of family relationship with someone outside of the biological family (Robert with Ned, Stannis with Davos, and Renly with Loras) which is interesting.
One thing I wish the show had left in was Stannis' resentment over Robert's more traditional brotherly love for Ned (the brother he chose). He was really hurt/offended that Robert asked Ned to be Hand of the King instead of him. If he had picked Stannis instead, everything would have gone a lot better for everybody. My Starks would have stayed at home together and Stannis would have been completely merciless with exposing Cersei and Joffrey. But then there'd be no story __________________

Yeah I agree they loved each other in their own way, after all they were brothers, but it was hard for them to get along because they're just too different.

Yeah, I kind of think that Robert/Ned and Stannis/Davos are like the traditional brothery love than these two have for each other.

Yeah, and out of the three, Renly's the only one to be able to form a loving romantic partnership with his significant other. So they're all able to create family bonds that are beautiful, just not with each other. It's pretty sad.

Yes, it's kind of sad that they share a more brothery bond with another other than with their own brothers, but deep down, they do care about each other a lot
