Almost finished the whole book in one day.

Reading it gives me such a nostalgic feeling.

Okay I am going to give these books another go this winter break.

I've tried reading them twice but usually by the first chapter I've always put the book down because I'm not a fan of the writing or the simplicity.

I know that they are written at a 7th grade reading level and I have seen and heard adults my age and older read them so I always figure why not but every time I try I just can't do it.

However having seen the movies now I'm gonna give it another go.

I read the series after watching the first movie, which definitely added to the experience and enjoyment I think. Also interesting to read what's going on in Katniss's head.

Yes it is but I like in the movie that they expanded the other characters.

Which book is it where Haymitch tells Katniss the story of intestines falling out? I thought it was Catchign Fire, but it weren't in the film. I'm guessing because it's 12A.

I really need to buy THG b/c it's the only book in the series that I don't own and it's the only one that I've only read once. After re-reading CF and MJ, if I had to rank the books in order from favorite to least (even though I LOVE them all) it would be CF, MJ and THG which I know is so different from most people.

THG is actually my favourite book (which is why it was worse for me that the movie was how it was) but CF is a very close second.
