That can be explained away easily by claiming that the rapid aging was caused by Katherine’s 500 year old soul and that Elena’s young soul reversed the aging.

I would have prefered ripper!Elena ... therefore she could also interact more with Bonnie and Jeremy.

No she is still a doppelgänger and therefore supernatural, Elena was able to kill Alaric in S2 because of that.

Problem is ... Bonnie isn't a witch anymore.

And you guys are such detectives with the whole mythology thing. I watch every episode like 3 times and i still have to remind myself so many things. And now with Katherine fading so fast i am so worried and was also thinking what is it that can help her....my poor Katherine.

To me Katherine is a peripheral character and has no bearing on the show and if I watch it or not.She is snarky and bitchy and funny lately ( I'm the damned moonstone, lol) but not someone that it changes any thing. JMO, of course. I know lately she is the tvd darling. It reminds me of Klaus. When a side character gets bigger writing than the main characters, its time to lose them.

I think Katherine is important but maybe not as much as the main but they could make her story matter more and I want that because we already know very much about her past and they can't leave me hanging this way

I'm with you on this one; if Katherine does die, then I would definitely feel empty inside. TVD has always relied heavily on the energy of it's 'villians'. If Katherine dies, there will be a void that can never be replaced. Her story is just so unfinished and has so much untapped potential; you don't create something that builds up to the climax and then cuts us off before we even see half of it. I really hope the writers are cleverer than this!

Still, I refuse to give up. Katherine is probably the cleverest character in TVD, and there is always a loophole to everything.
