As you mentioned, it's gotta be the way Bellamy looks at her. The first scene he's sort of patronizing her and she draws her hand away, and I wondered what that was about, and then of course the way he's gazing at Clarke at the end of the video (where she puts Atom at rest).

Yes, I think that Atom scene is what attracted a lot of new fans in our fan videos. There is something so special about the way that he looks at her in that particular scene.

Also, the directing in that scene is extra amazing. Bellamy looks lost when he sees his friend in pain...and then Clarke shows up behind him like an angel. The visual aspect is so lovely in that scene. And he kind of senses that it's her behind him. And then of course, the LOOKS he gives her as she gives peace to Atom. Wow. Bob is exceptional at showing those types of looks.

There really is. What I loved about that moment is that it felt like Bellamy was really seeing Clarke for the first time. He was amazed by her. If I hadn't already been shipping them by that point then that would've sealed the deal for me.

I'm like you, Jules, the season promo is what really got me on board the Bellarke ship. I liked Bellamy in the pilot and actually defended him, thinking that I would be one of the only people liking him. I couldn't have been more wrong. I saw a hint of the chemistry in the pilot but then they showed the season promo after the pilot and there were all these Bellarke moments in it and I remember being so excited that my ship might actually get some development and happen. It was the "Who we are and who we need to be to survive are very different things" moment in that promo that had me shipping them hardcore.

I've seen the episode with a few friends a few days ago and most of them didn't see anything romantic about that particular moment. One of them even said it was the nuts effect (I'll give him nuts lol) So I'm not quiet sure about what you're saying. I mean sure as a shipper I want to believe that it had a double meaning, that it was indeed the start of something and I can still remember Bellamy's face as he touches her but then shippers usually have shippers glasses LOL So I don't know I'm confused...to me it's all about showing that their dynamic is changing but not necessarily in a romantic way. At least not right now. But who knows?

I'll be honest, I actually never completely saw her with Bellamy till the scene where she killed Atom... But I never once even considered her with Finn.. He just didnt interest me what so ever

The first time I saw the "potential" was the first scene inside the dropship where Octavia sees Bellamy for the first time and Clarke tells him not to open the door. I said "these two are sooo gonna be butting heads". But I didn't see anything romantic at this point. I started to see a little more of it when they found Jasper and Bellamy "saved" Clarke for the first time. But then what really sold it for me was when Clarke killed Atom and the look on Bellamy's face. I thought "things are going to get interesting between them...". Then episode 7 was pure gold!

Me too. That was the scene that made me ship them. I got interested in them in 1x02 when Bellamy held her arm but that scene in 1x03 sold them to me.

Before watching the show I didn't ship anyone. I knew Clarke/Finn were going to be a couple but I was neutral about them.

Once again it's all about chemistry. During the pilot I still wasn't that annoyed about Finn, I actually found him cute and enjoyable but then the thing with Clarke just didn't work and NO chemistry. Or at least not the kind that's lighning in a bottle. With Clarke and Bellamy it was all about the looks they were giving each other, Bellamy's constant puppy eyes to Clarke and them constantly butting heads. Plus there is something between Eliza and Bob...like you can actually feel the tension all over the place. Did I say I was hooked? LOOOL

You guys need to watch this...

I've seen the "oh it was the nuts" comment before but they intentionally went that extra step to have Bellamy move behind her to show her how to hold the gun (the only thing better than that is if she had been holding a golf club and he'd been "helping" with her swing from behind her ) and for them to have physical contact and for Bellamy to react to touching and staring at her. That's the one moment that they've had this season so far that, for me, had any sort of romantic undertones to it. It wasn't much but it was there, IMO.

I guess your friend didn't see it that way. Doesn't mean that I'm seeing things with shipper goggles on though...

So you started liking them with the Brave Princess line, huh? The tension and conflict in that episode between them was made of gold. And when I saw the season promo I remember hoping that the person who saved Clarke when she fell into the pit was Bellamy and then in 1x02 I got confirmation that it was.

What he said about Bellarke not being the relationship they're writing towards... Eh, whatever. What I'm seeing onscreen is telling an entirely different story sir. So, what Jason is saying is that the survival story is the cake and Bellarke romance is the icing on the cake...

Now that they know about Bellarke's popularity I hope they write towards them in S2. I just don't want Clarke with Finn again. I can be patient and I can deal with Bellarke not being romantic as long as they keep interacting and we keep getting build up without anyone in the middle.
