Honestly Illian burning down the Ark reminded me of Bellamy throwing away the radio in season 1. Bellamy didn't know that The Ark was out of oxygen and the consequences was the culling. Illian didn't know that people needed the Ark to survive. Well Octavia told him but she didn't precise why, same with Clarke who didn't tell the others exactly why the Arkadians needed to get to the ground asap. In both situation, the problem was the lack of communication.

See, I know that most people love Murphy now but THIS SO MUCH. It's probably just me and Paulina who still doesn't like him ... but I can never forgive/forget all the crappy things he did ... murdering the kid who strung him up (out of spite), peeing on people, hanging Bellamy, shooting Raven and being the reason that she's now disabled and in pain most of the time etc. etc.

Nice, Margaux! I didn't see it that way but it does parallel Bellamy's actions there and links back to the lack of communication.

Nope Sarah, you can add me to the list as well. I completely agree with you. I just cannot forgive or forget what he did in season 1. The things he did were just heinous (exactly what you listed). I don't think I will ever love his character; he'll never become a favorite for me. At the moment, I find his interaction with others interesting?, his snarky comments make me laugh sometimes, and I appreciate what he did in the finale, but that's it. Every time I see Raven in pain, or her limping and walking, I remember that HE did that too her. He is the reason why Raven is in pain.

Pretty much all of that, Rose. Don't think we have specifically talked on him so I'm glad we are on the same page there. Like you, I enjoy certain interactions involving Murphy and I like him with Emori ... do I think he's a different person now? In some ways, yes. He's grown and become more mature but at the same time, he's never EVER had to earn redemption - unlike some other characters - and that will never sit well with me.

Yeah, I love him and I have no clue why. Probably his one liners, his sass and disrespect towards authority play a big role

I loved the character even in the beginning when he was a dick. Love to hate more like but still. I much orefer that to characters that are just meh

I also think it's Richard's charm ... he does the one liners so well. I enjoy his scenes in part now but yeah, I'll always still remember what a ****head he was in the early days.
