I think Clarke played a very large role in bringing out the leader that we saw in Bellamy after 1x08. Honestly though, I feel like it started well before then. We just didn't truly see it until he let his guard down in 1x08.
Clarke saw a glimpse of who Bellamy really was in 1x02 when he saved her from falling into the pit and then again in 1x03 when he couldn't kill Atom. But it was in 1x04 when she starts vocalizing to him that she sees who he really is and that he's not a killer. In 1x05, even after they knew that Bellamy took the radio, Clarke stands there in front of Finn and Raven and tells Bellamy that he's not a murderer and that he's always done what he had to do to protect his sister. So, to me, all of those things are a big reason why that scene against the tree even happened in the first place. Clarke seeing the good in him when he'd given her every reason not to over and over was the reason that Bellamy finally saw the good in himself. And OMG, I just noticed the Wish List in the OP. I agree. Though I do think Bellamy would've absolutely 100% run if Clarke hadnt told him he needed to stay and helped him pardon his crimes on the Ark. She really was a huge spokesperson for him. Thats what I love the most about Clarke. She believes in people even when they've given up on themselves. And she believed in Bellamy ESPECIALLY when he gave up on himself. I dont think she ever really saw him as a monster. Even early on she said he did what he needed to do to protect his sister. Clarke is just over all a good person who always sees the good in people no matter what And I think a person like that believing in Bellamy really inspired him to be better himself.

Without Clarke, Bellamy would still be the douchebag he was in the first épisodes. Wanting to lead, without knowing a thing about it, without any balance and basically being some sort of "tyran". Pretty sure Murphy would co-lead with him by now loool __________________

I want to see it effect them, as it should especially when Jason makes comments about how they need each other and without the other, they wouldn't have survived. They have a strong bond and have to come to rely heavily on the one another so I would be extremely disappointed if we didn't at least see glimpses of it.

I think it def will. Clarke made it VERY clear several times that she needs him and she cant do this without him. (
) Now shes suddenly alone and probably feels like shes the one who has to keep everyone safe and save them, and this time she has to do it alone/without him by her side. And to top it off she has to live with the guilt of knowing that she probably killed him. With Bellamy imo we already saw in 1x12 that he starts to lose his cool when he thinks he has lost her. __________________

We've seen more of how much Bellamy needs Clarke than the other way around. Episode 12 was crystal clear on that matter. Bellamy without Clarke was losing his temper, didn't know what to do, he was completely lost. When Clarke came back that's when he was inspired to do the all "We are grounders" speech.

Thats true, but I think Clarke has shown it other ways. In 1x08 she gave Bellamy forgiveness and told him how she and everyone else needs him. She was almost desperate for him to come back with her. In 1x13 when Finn said that Bellamy can be left behind Clarke said no and basically gave Bellamy another inspiring speech stressing how they cant do this without him and afterwards told him how he did well before they walked away from camp, she actually waited for him instead of going with others and gave him a reassuring smile (idk i really loved that little detail lol). And later when Miller wanted to close the dropship door she ran out specifically looking for Bellamy. Imo all these things demonstrate that she needs him just as much as he needs her.
In 1x12 Bellamy was tearing up in the dropship and imo it was because he thought that Clarke is dead, I think we might get something similar from Clarke in S2 (hopefully). __________________
