Totally agree, I have no issue with people not liking Bellamy but what I loathe is bashing on Bob just because he plays Bellamy and having no other good reason to dislike him apart from that reason (which is what I’ve definitely seen happening). There are some characters who I don’t like and necessarily feel like the actor playing him/her is very strong but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to crap on the actor openly in social media, because I’m an adult and know how to respect people. Which should be common sense and all but isn’t.

And honestly I can see why people would dislike Bellamy even though I love him. Like we have always talked before, he’s such a polarising and complex character that it’s only natural that people feel strongly about him, good or bad.

Yep. The problem isn't disliking the character; the problem is that some people become these "keyboard warriors" and become disrespectful towards the actor.

Definitely. I mean, one of my colleagues doesn't like him or Clarke. (I still tell her that this is a bit unusual, because typically the viewer likes at least one of them, but hey, to each their own!) She has reasons for not liking him, and I respect that, but I just don't really talk to her about him as much. Because I've warned her that I can go on and on about Bellamy and about why he's amazing and complex and why I feel the way I do about him.

Honestly, though, there is so much passion for Bellamy as a character, though. Polarizing or not, that doesn't prevent him from being a favorite amongst many fans (including many of us here).

Yeah, I don’t know how one manages to be a fan of the show without being a fan of either one of them, but I’m sure there are others out there like her.

Wow, I can't imagine someone not liking either one of them and still liking the show because they are the central characters and all ... though I can understand why neither are automatically lovable because they're really not. If that makes sense.

Word. Whether you like him or not, Bellamy makes you feel something and that is what a good character does.
