Remember what he said in one of his interviews that his world changed in high school when he joined theater - girls started noticing him, teachers started letting him slide in classes

I think he did get away with a lot and probably still does! That's why during a Baze/Lux scene when he was trying to convince her to play basketball and mentioned teachers go easy on athletes I

Why does he have to be so darn pretty?!!!

In my book...he can get away with pretty much anything.

And Khallaea: I completely agree. I loved how Baze told Ryan the truth...even if it was by mistake. I love that he defended Cate, and said it was HIS fault. LOVE LOVE LOVE this man.

I'm definitely on board with everyone else regarding Baze in this past episode. If you can't jump on supporting him after selflessly standing up for Cate in the way he did before Ryan at the hotel, I don't know what will.

Exactly. It all goes back to what he told Cate at the hospital in the premiere - he doesn't want to be selfish anymore. I think that's the most beautiful part of Baze's transformation since Cate and Lux have come back into his life. He's really learning to take responsibility for his actions and put others ahead of himself. It's been wonderful to watch. I don't understand how anyone could not root for this guy!

ITA. Even if you really weren't a fan of his last season, which could be understandable, S2 had to win you over with him and even make you look back and respect S1 'Baze' so that you could actually observe and follow the direction his character has taken. I would have to say that Baze has probably been my favorite character for this season, while last season, I really didn't have one that stood out that much persay. Although, it was Lux and her journey that made me want to watch the show in the first place.
