And for those reasons that you just said is why I seriously can't understand the STEFAN hate... Sometimes I think people forget that Stefan also struggled and tried to redeemed himself, sometimes it seems that people think that Stefan only does what he does to look good in Elena's eyes. Sure, the show didn't explore that much of Stefan's past but what they gave to us we can clearly see where he's coming from. But Stefan already started the show as the good guy, so it's much more entertaining to see the "bad guy" (Damon) becoming good and showing all of his struggles. This is Damon's time to redeem himself. What Stefan said today was low but c'mon, his brother is in love with his girlfriend

And I don't understand also when people complain about Stefan feeling guilty... What, is he supposed to feel no remorse whatsoever for what he did in the past?

I will forever not understand the Damon OR Stefan hate

^^ I mean, seriously. It's been a little excessive today. First thing I see when I get up is the new DE still, so I freaked about that for two hours. Then when I got home from hanging out with a friend, I find out that we're only ONE THREAD AWAY from 1200. And then I freak out and fangirl and wax nostalgic about this thread, being all sentimental and stuff when we read 1200, and then the synopsis comes out and I'm dying and then all of this Glee stuff starts coming out that makes me fangirl even more and then the episode is so close and it's so exciting and THEN THE EPISODE IS MINDBLOWING and then the promo and the EXTENDED PROMO and oh my goodness I just can't wait until next week.

Absolutely. I find this to be 100% accurate about his personality. He's especially been stepping up lately and making difficult decisions. He doesn't say what anyone likes to hear. He doesn't do what anyone wants him to do. This is a guy who marches to the beat of his own drum. He may not always make the best decisions or say the right things, but I think his intentions - especially with Elena - are good.
